The war is at the point of no return, and Russia is well aware that if it is defeated, the front line will collapse, the elite will cease to exist, and the state itself will not function in its political form. Mykhailo Podolyak, an advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine, spoke about this in an interview with Deutsche Welle.
He noted how important it is to ensure Russia's defeat. If this does not happen, he said, the war will be frozen, and the Ukrainian state, its subjectivity, will be constantly under external pressure. In this case, Russia will invest large resources in organizing constant terrorist attacks and provoking internal political conflicts.
"The war is at the point of no return," he explained.
Podolyak noted that the Ukrainian government has a clear understanding of what is needed to implement a successful plan.
He named four priorities:
- adjusting tactics to take into account the resources that Russia spends;
- assessment of the strategy, taking into account the dominant advantages that Russia has left for the elimination of advantages;
- investment in production facilities that need to be developed rapidly to achieve technological superiority;
- a sharp increase in pressure due to the technological component of this war on certain military orders of Russia.
The official added that it is difficult to make predictions about the development of the situation. According to him, it is influenced by a number of factors and conditions. He called political discussions, particularly in Germany, important because these decisions determine the volume of supplies of certain equipment.
