President Volodymyr Zelensky said that in order to end the hot phase of the war, Ukraine needs to restore its territorial integrity, as well as the rights and freedoms of its citizens. In a speech to students in Mexico, he emphasized that the next step is to restore justice.
"Everything will end in peace, but not our peace with Russia - it simply does not want it. It sees the world in its own way," Zelensky explained. - "And we imagine it as an independent, free, European state. Therefore, only the restoration of territorial integrity, the restoration of people's rights and freedoms, the restoration of sovereignty are the main principles of ending this hot stage of the war, and then the restoration of justice."
Zelensky did not deny that there are still offers of concessions to Ukraine. But he emphasized that Kyiv would not go for it.
"There are such voices, there are such proposals. But this beast will not stop there. Because its policy is no different from the policy of insatiable Nazism. That's why we have to fight. Therefore, people in the world must realize that if we are victims, we will not be the last," the President of Ukraine said.
As for relations with Russia, their future cannot be predicted today, the President emphasized. Therefore, this issue should be left to the next generations.
"It will depend on how Russia ends this war. Will it leave our territory on its own, will their generations be ready to apologize, will justice be restored through court verdicts," Zelensky said.
