One civilian was killed and three others were wounded as a result of Russian shelling of the Ostriv neighborhood in Kherson on Thursday, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said.
"Around noon, the enemy shelled a residential area in the long-suffering Ostrov neighborhood. A 72-year-old local resident was killed. A 74-year-old man was wounded. During the shelling he was in the entrance of the house. The victim was hospitalized. Two more civilians received medical assistance at the scene," the minister wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday.
According to him, the enemy shelling damaged 4 multi-storey buildings, an educational institution and a church.
