Ambassador: 329 Ukrainians have been granted permission to leave Gaza Strip

As of Thursday morning, November 9, Ukraine has received permits to leave the Gaza Strip for a total of 329 Ukrainians, Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk said during a telethon.

"We received a permit for 101 people three days ago, and the day before yesterday evening we received an additional permit for 228 people. That is, we can talk about permits for 329 people in total. These permits are valid. I think that we will be able to get a few more permits, but a small number, since the vast majority of our applications have been reviewed by the Israeli side and approved positively," Korniychuk said.

According to him, no one knows exactly how many Ukrainians are in the Gaza Strip. The embassy estimates that there are more than 500 people.

"We have received a total of about 370 people, some of whom we have lost contact with because they were not evacuated from the north, where heavy fighting continues," Korniychuk explained.

As a reminder, the first group of Ukrainians was evacuated from the Gaza Strip, 43 Ukrainians were taken out of the combat zone.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also showed photos of the evacuation of the first group of Ukrainians from the Gaza Strip.
