The head of the Avdiivka military-civilian administration, Vitaliy Barabash, said that Russians are preparing a third wave of the offensive on the city. He said this in a commentary to Channel 24.
According to him, the situation around the Avdiivka Coke Plant is complicated, but the military is controlling it, the enemy has no breakthroughs, and all attacks are being repelled. He noted that due to the deteriorating weather, the Russians are using less equipment, but if the weather improves, they will launch a third wave of the offensive.
Barabash said that small arms fighting continues around the clock, and Russian troops "compensate" for all failures with fierce shelling and air strikes on the city.
"Avdiivka is gradually becoming like a broken Maryinka. Before the escalation on October 10, there was not a single surviving building, and after that the enemy demolishes several houses every day. Avdiivka is already turning into Maryinka. It was simply wiped out to the foundation," the official said.
