Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that all Ukrainians should prepare for war. He called it an axiom, as the war started by Russia continues. The NSDC Secretary said this in an interview with the Liga media outlet.
"This is an axiom, and we should not be surprised. We are in a rather complicated world when we have to defend our country while having a crazy neighbor. Even when Russia fragments, we have to be ready. And the fragmentation of Russia will definitely happen in our lifetime," he said.
Danilov added that mobilization in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022, and has not stopped for a single day. And the government does not hide this, unlike Russia.
He also noted that if Kyiv does not have modern means of destruction, assistance from partners, it will be very difficult to hold on to the front line alone.
"That is why we get ATACMS, SCALP, etc., which are much more effective in modern warfare. When you use modern weapons, age does not matter. The idea that everyone in the Armed Forces should be young is a bit distorted," explained the Secretary of the Security Council.
