Fedorov: There will be no summonses through Diia, but there will be "smart mobilization"

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said that Ukrainians conscripted in the military will not receive summonses through the Diia app. The Minister also said that Ukraine plans to launch "smart mobilization".

"There will be no summonses in Diia. It seems to me that as long as I have been working as a minister, everything we talk about, we keep our words. That's why I can tell you for sure that there will be no summonses in Diia," the minister emphasized.

According to Fedorov, the essence of "smart mobilization" will be that a conscript will be able to choose the specialization in which he is ready to serve.

"In a month or two," they plan to launch a pilot project for the first specialty - drone operator.

"We will launch a pilot for drone operators, and this person chooses whether they want to become a drone operator or serve in an attack drone company. It can be a sapper, a driver, all positions will be available. The person will be able to see what kind of unit, company, obligations, risks, and training will be available," said Fedorov.

According to him, a person will have to apply for a certain specialty without receiving a summons, go through recruiters, tests and training, and then he will definitely be able to get into the drone company for the position for which he has mobilized himself. Moreover, the procedure will take place outside military registration and enlistment offices, but through these recruiters.

According to Fedorov, once the project is launched, it will be possible to see how many Ukrainians want to mobilize on their own, how they will be selected, how they will serve, and how motivated they will be.

"There are people who may want to be stormtroopers or hold other positions. But they want to understand that I am led by a professional person, when I am in a trench, I will have a drone above me, armored vehicles will be nearby, my supervisor will take care of my life, and he will have accurate qualitative situational awareness, my life is the most important thing for him, and he will take care of it, and I will have trust in this supervisor," Fedorov said.
