The head of the Avdiivka military civilian administration, Vitaliy Barabash, said during a national TV marathon that there were fewer small shooting battles in the Avdiivka area due to weather conditions.
"It is difficult. The enemy is shelling the city both day and night. They are using cannon and rocket artillery, mortars and air strikes. Let's just say that we hear less from the positions of small arms fire now. Most likely, they are less active because we have had very heavy rain and wet soil since the evening," he said.
At the same time, Barabash noted that the situation in Avdiivka remains difficult, and the road is under fire.
He also said that yesterday and the day before they tried to deliver bread to the city.
"Although the situation is very difficult, it is under control," he added.
