Barabash: Avdiivka spoil tip is a "gray zone", Russians do not control it

The head of the Avdiivka city military administration, Vitaliy Barabash, commented on the situation with the Avdiivka spoil tip. He said that Russian troops do not control it. "Now it is a "gray zone". When Russian subversive groups try to get in, the Ukrainian Armed Forces strike them with artillery and other means.

"There is the spoil tip itself, and several small ones near it. This is a small spoil tip. It is multilayered, not an ordinary classic spoil tip. On one of the small layers, conditionally next to the large spoil tip, the Russians put flags and made a circus out of it," Barabash said during the telethon.

According to him, Russian troops are trying to surround Avdiivka in small groups of 10-15 people. The Russians are trying to approach the railway, which is under fire control of Ukrainian defenders.

"Now the railway makes no sense in terms of logistics because it is not used. The occupants are trying to approach the railway and storm it, but our fire control is very serious," added the head of the CMA.
