Night attack: Russia fires on Ukraine with missiles and kamikaze drones

On the evening of October 18 and at night of October 19, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with ballistic and airborne missiles, as well as Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. This was reported by the Air Force Command.


The military says that from 20:00 on October 18 to 05:00 on October 19, the Russians fired missiles and drones at industrial, infrastructure, civilian and military facilities. The enemy launched five Iskander-M ballistic missiles, one S-300 missile, an X-59 guided missile, and one cruise missile of an unidentified type. The invaders also launched nine "Shahed" missiles.


Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions came under attack. 


Air defense forces shot down an X-59 missile and three Shahed drones.


Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko published a report from the regions affected by the strikes: a UAV strike started a fire in a two-story building in Sumy, no casualties were reported, a warehouse caught fire in Mykolaiv, and an educational institution was damaged in Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region.
