Tehran has announced the termination of the United Nations resolution that bans the export of missile weapons due to the expiration of the restrictions from today. This was reported on his Twitter page (X) by Iranian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affair for Political Affairs Bagheri Kani.
As of 18 October 2023, in accordance with UNSCR 2231, all restrictions unjustly imposed on ballistic missile-related activities and transfers to/from the Islamic Republic of Iran terminate; and Iran is no longer subject to any restriction in the context of the #SecurityCouncil.

This UN Resolution № 2231 was adopted on July 20, 2015, against Iran over Tehran's nuclear program for the period until October 18, 2023. The embargo includes, among other things, the sale and purchase of missiles.
"As of October 18, 2023, in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution № 2231, all restrictions unjustly imposed on ballistic missile-related activities and their supply to the Islamic Republic of Iran will be lifted," the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a statement.
Kani also added that the country is "no longer subject to any restrictions" in the context of UN Security Council decisions.
