Today, April 18, the United States and Britain decided to impose new sanctions on Iran. This was in response to Tehran's recent attack on Israel. This was reported by the US Treasury Department.

It is noted that the United States has imposed sanctions against 16 people and two organizations that allow Iran to produce drones and engines for the Shaheds.

The USA has also sanctioned five companies in several jurisdictions that supply component materials for steel production to the Iranian company Khuzestan Steel Company.

"Iran's metallurgical sector annually generates income equivalent to several billion dollars, most of which comes from steel exports," Treasury Department explained.
