A rocket attack in the village of Hroza, Kupyansk district, Kharkiv region, killed 59 people. The police have identified all the victims. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.
"59 people were killed by Russians with a direct hit from an Iskander in the village of Hroza. All the victims were local residents. Pensioners, doctors, farmers, teachers, entrepreneurs. All of them were civilians. Entire families of several generations were killed," he said.
According to the Interior Minister, police forensic experts spent six days taking samples from relatives around the clock, developing profiles and looking for a match.
"19 people were identified using mobile DNA laboratories. One of the deceased, a 60-year-old man, was identified by forensic experts using 20 body parts," added Klymenko.
In addition, two more people were identified using personal belongings taken from their homes, as they had no direct line relatives to compare DNA profiles.
