This winter may be more difficult than the previous one - the head of DTEK

The head of DTEK energy holding Maksym Timchenko believes that the coming winter may be harder than the previous one due to possible massive shelling of the energy system by Russia. However, he emphasizes that both the military and the energy sector are ready to respond to such threats, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Maksym Tymchenko said: "This winter will probably be harder than the last one. Not only we are preparing, but also our enemies. I think the attacks will be more intense. In addition, we have lower power reserves due to the previous shelling."

The head of the holding also noted that although the air defense systems may not be sufficient for possible intense shelling, the defense situation is improving every month.

"On the other hand, we have learned a lot, and even for situations like the one on November 23, we have found solutions," Timchenko added.
