Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen has announced his country's plans to transfer the first F-16 fighters to Ukraine in the first quarter of next year. This was reported by BBN.

"We expect that in March or April we will be able to transfer the first batch of combat aircraft to Ukraine," the official told reporters at NATO headquarters before the start of the meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group in Brussels.

The Danish Defense Minister also emphasized that the transfer of these fighters will require time and effort to train Ukrainian pilots.

"We have to do a lot of work to ensure that Ukrainians can operate them," Poulsen said.
