President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed concern that the international community is "turning away" from Ukraine. He said this in an interview with France 2 TV channel.
"If international attention is somehow shifted away from Ukraine, it will have consequences. The tragedies that have befallen Ukraine and Israel are different, but both are huge," Zelensky said.
He emphasized that Ukraine's fate depends on the unity of its allies.
"I hope that American support for Ukraine will continue. From Joe Biden, Congress and both parties. It is very important for us to resist aggression. Time will play in favor of the Russian forces if the assistance to Kyiv is interrupted. Now Russia is trying to counterattack, but without success, and we continue to move forward step by step. But we are moving slower than expected and than we would like," the president summarized.
