President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky does not intend to run for a second term if the presidential elections are held after the war ends. This is how he answered a question from the Romanian media outlet Digi24 about whether he intends to run again.

"If the war continued - yes, if the war ended - no. I cannot run during the war."

Volodymyr Zelensky also said that Ukraine was "in the last stage" of the war, but he could not say when it would end.

"I can't give you an exact date, I think no one, maybe only Trump, will one day. I know that we are going to launch a counteroffensive, that Russia will leave our territories. I think I know when, but I can't tell you that. This is the last part of the war. This is not its middle. The first period was the occupation, followed by a halt to the offensive and seizure of the initiative. I think we are in the last part. We have a lot of fears: money, weapons, but we are in the last stage, the most difficult," the president said.
