Zelensky announces the launch of a grain corridor through Moldova to Romania

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the imminent launch of a new route for the export of agricultural products from Ukraine along the Solidarity Roads - through the territories of Moldova and Romania. He announced this during a joint press conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on October 10.

"I would like to emphasize one of the strategic areas of our cooperation. In the Ukraine-Moldova-Romania Triangle, we can create a very powerful basis for the development of not only our countries and peoples, but also the whole of Europe," Zelensky said.

He clarified that this primarily concerns economic development.

According to the Ukrainian president, the parties have already achieved good results in the development of logistics in this "triangle".

"And soon, the grain corridor from Ukraine will run through Moldova to Romania. And this is an example of how much we can do together. That will be of great, high value not only for us, but also for Europe and the world as a whole," Zelensky said.

He also added that such a project would have a positive impact on the business development of all participating countries.

"And it is very important that cooperation between Ukraine, Moldova and Romania stimulates the development of business, infrastructure and jobs for our peoples," the head of state said.
