NACP restores access to political parties' financial reports

The National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) has restored access to the Unified State Register of Political Parties' Reports on Property, Income, Expenses and Financial Liabilities (POLITDATA Register). The register was opened in compliance with the requirements for personal data protection, the NACP press service reports.

Ukrainians will now be able to see what political parties have spent public funding on for more than three years, as at first the parties did not report due to COVID-19, and since 2022 - due to martial law.

The open registry will reveal not only what political parties spent money on, but also who actively financed them.

"During the pandemic and after the full-scale invasion, parliamentary parties continue to receive state funding. We are talking about almost three billion hryvnias. Political parties have also had enough time to collect the necessary information and prepare high-quality reports. So far, they can report to taxpayers voluntarily, but starting from December 26, it will become their obligation," commented NACP Chairman Oleksandr Novikov.
