The United States has no direct evidence of Iran's connection to Hamas' attacks on Israel

The United States of America has no direct information about Iran's connection to the attacks by the Hamas terrorist group on Israel. This was stated by US Deputy National Security Advisor Jonathan Finer in a CNN interview.

"What we can say quite clearly is that Iran is generally involved in these attacks because it has supported Hamas for decades," said Finer.

He pointed to Tehran's supply of weapons, training and other financial support to Hamas.

"What we don't have is direct information that shows Iran's involvement in ordering or planning the attacks that have occurred over the last few days. This is something that we will continue to monitor closely," the US Deputy National Security Advisor added.
