Russian troops re-mining areas on Zaporizhzhia frontline - ISW

According to the Institute for the Study of War, the Russian military is re-mining areas on the frontline in Zaporizhzhia region that were previously demined by Ukrainian forces. The process of mining has intensified in the area of Robotyne-Verbove, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are launching a counteroffensive.

According to ISW, Russian troops are thus trying to limit the movement of Ukrainian forces in areas of the front far from the western part of Zaporizhzhia region, as well as to achieve "tactical surprise." These measures have disrupted the logistics and movement of Ukrainian military equipment in recent days.

In addition, it is reported that Russian troops have intensified offensive operations on several frontline areas outside Zaporizhzhia region to stretch the Ukrainian defense.

The command of the Zaporizhzhia front reports that it is the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions.
