Sweden will send a new military aid package to Ukraine, consisting mainly of ammunition and spare parts for previously provided systems. This was announced on Friday by Defense Minister Pal Jonson, Reuters reports.
The package is worth about $199 million.
The new military aid package will be the 14th aid package that Sweden has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. Thus, the total cost of such assistance from the Scandinavian country will be just over 22 billion kroner.
Jonson said at a press conference that the government has also officially instructed the armed forces to analyze whether Sweden can send Jas Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine.
