Financial support for refugees from Ukraine living in Poland is planned to be terminated in the first quarter of 2024. Government spokesman Piotr Müller announced the abolition of the current provisions of the law on financial assistance for refugees in an interview with PAP.

"The decisions that were made after the outbreak of the war are temporary. Therefore, these provisions are gradually losing their validity, it is simply stated in the law. They will not be extended," Müller said.

The financial aid is expected to end in the first quarter of next year. He also noted that the massive flight of Ukrainians from the war is over, and hopes that financial support for Ukrainian refugees "simply will not need to be extended."
