Shmyhal discusses joint energy initiatives with EBRD President

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso to discuss joint initiatives, particularly in the energy sector. He reported this on his Facebook page.

"The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is one of Ukraine's most important partners. I am pleased to welcome EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso and her team to Kyiv," the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal reminded that the EBRD has pledged to invest €3 billion in Ukraine over two years. The Bank's support contributes to stability in the critical infrastructure and private sector.

"We discussed the implementation of joint initiatives, particularly in the energy sector. The EBRD is preparing new projects with NPC Ukrenergo and Naftogaz of Ukraine," Shmyhal said.

According to him, during the meeting, "he also spoke about other promising areas for investment: the humanitarian demining market, the military-industrial complex, mechanical engineering, support for small and medium-sized businesses, and the development of veteran entrepreneurship."

"We are counting on the EBRD's active participation in Ukraine's reconstruction," Shmyhal emphasized.
