Russian missiles and drones changed direction during night attack - Ihnat

During the nighttime attack on Ukraine on September 25, missiles and kamikaze drones launched by Russian troops maneuvered. They flew in one direction and then returned to Odesa. This was reported by the spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat during a telethon.

According to him, despite the destruction in the Odesa region, the work of the units of the South Air Command was "impeccable". They destroyed all 19 kamikaze drones and 11 of 12 Kalibr cruise missiles.

"Strengthening the south of the country is urgent. Onyx missiles are difficult to shoot down. They can be countered, but the means of destruction do not work against them. The missile is supersonic and flies very low. Therefore, these missiles cannot be shot down by existing air defense systems," said Ihnat.

The speaker said that that night the Russians used three different means of air attack. The enemy's tactic was to change the directions of missiles and drones.

"They actually flew from the eastern regions to the center of the country, turned around and returned to Odesa along the Moldovan border. The enemy is using various means of air attack to distract the attention of air defense and to cause maximum damage and hit targets," Ihnat explained.
