An unprecedented number of Russian aircraft were in Ukraine's airspace during the night attack. This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat during a telethon.
"Last night there was an unprecedented number of aircraft. Today, several dozen aircraft were in the airspace at night, which is not typical. These are drones and tactical aircraft that attacked Ukraine along with cruise missiles and Shaheds," he said.
In addition, according to the speaker, aviation activity was high.
"That is why F-16s, which we want to receive from our partners as soon as possible, should not be inferior to Russian aircraft in terms of tactical and technical characteristics. They should outperform them to drive them away from our borders," Ihnat added.
