Italian Defense Minister Guido Crozetto hopes to end the war in Ukraine within seven to eight months, i.e. by the end of spring. Crozetto said this in a comment to the newspaper la Repubblica.
"I hope that a diplomatic solution will be found in a fairly short time, within the next seven or eight months. This is my hope," the Italian Defense Minister said.
He believes that negotiations can begin with a ceasefire.
Crozetto added that the Ukrainian army's counteroffensive "didn't turn out to be a walk in the park".
