Ukraine received new military package with armored vehicles and ammunition from Germany

Ukraine has received a new military aid package from Germany, including Wisent 1 demining tanks and 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, the German government reports.


In addition to the armored vehicles, the initiative also included shells, ammunition and additional military vehicles.


Germany has transferred:

 

  • 20 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles with ammunition (40 were previously provided);
  • two Wisent 1 armored engineering demining vehicles (previously 6 were provided);
  • 8x8 HX81 truck tractor (previously 50) and 4 semi-trailers (previously 41);
  • 5 8x8 lifting trucks (previously 35);
  • 9 vehicles (trucks/minibuses/all-terrain vehicles) (previously 288);
  • 3 Mercedes-Benz Unimog ambulances (previously 44);
  • 3,000 more 155 mm caliber shells (previously 15,510);
  • material for the disposal of ammunition;
  • 1 satellite communications surveillance system;
  • 20 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones (previously 60);
  • 2 mobile antenna-mast systems (previously 47);
  • 10 drone detection systems (previously 103);
  • 1.5 million rounds of ammunition for firearms (previously 44.2 million).

 

The German government noted that this year Ukraine received €5.4 billion in military aid from Berlin.
