Armored vehicles are less effective due to drones and anti-tank systems - Budanov

The head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, believes that the availability of anti-tank systems and drones has significantly reduced the effectiveness of armored vehicles during the war and affected the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, YES reports.

He also noted that weather conditions affect the course of military operations, especially in cold season, when fighting becomes more difficult.

"But let's look at the autumn of last year, when no one stopped the fighting. This year will be exactly the same. Fighting and offensive in all directions will continue. There are problems with wheeled vehicles in summer as well, tracked vehicles are adapted," Budanov said.

The head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized that the use of armored vehicles faced serious challenges due to the large number of portable anti-tank systems and kamikaze drones.

"That is why our offensive is mostly on foot. This was the case last autumn in Bakhmut, where the use of armored vehicles was minimal," Budanov emphasized.
