US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visited Ukrainian border guards, to whom the United States is providing American MRAP armored vehicles. He reported this on social media.

"Visited border guards to see how they continue to protect the territory and people of Ukraine. We are providing $300 million in new funding to Ukraine's law enforcement sector to continue this important work. The United States remains united with Ukraine," said Blinken.
According to Victoria Nuland, the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, the US is providing 190 MRAP vehicles to Ukrainian police and border guards to help protect civilians, especially those close to the front line.
The head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Serhiy Deineko, also discussed with Blinken the projects implemented to strengthen the capacity of border guards and further support.
At one of the units, the delegation of the US Department of State and the US Embassy in Ukraine got acquainted with the tasks of the border guard agency and the assistance received by the State Border Guard Service under joint projects
"If not for the help of international partners, in particular INL, our losses would have been much greater. Because our partners provided border guards with bulletproof vests, protective helmets, etc. on time," Deineko emphasized.
