The New York Times, citing US officials, reports that the United States plans to send more cluster munitions to Ukraine in the near future.
"Now, two months after the United States sent the first tranche of ammunition to Ukraine to make sure its troops don't run out, three US officials said the Biden administration plans to send more soon," the article says.
The publication also notes that the Ukrainian army has evaluated the effectiveness of cluster munitions. Ukrainian marine Serhiy, who took part in the battles for Urozhayne, emphasized that they are "super-effective" and help to raise the morale of the Ukrainian military when they see them successfully used against the enemy.
