Defense giant BAE Systems to set up weapons production in Ukraine

BAE Systems, the largest British defense company, is starting operations in Ukraine. This information was brought to light by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after a meeting with the company's CEO Charles Woodburn.


According to his announcement, Ukraine has a plan to organize the production of L119 and M777 artillery systems, as well as CV90 infantry fighting vehicles.


Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not explicitly provide details on the timeframe for launching this project.


BAE Systems' activities include weapons development, security, and aerospace technologies. Among other things, the company specializes in the production of Challenger tanks and M777 howitzers. The total number of employees in the corporation is 90,000, covering the territories of 40 countries.
