On the night of August 28, Russian troops attacked Ukraine using sea- and air-based missile systems, some of which were successfully neutralized by Ukrainian air defense, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
The total attack included four Kalibr missiles and two X-59 guided missiles fired from a Russian frigate in the Black Sea and two Su-24 aircraft. The X-59 missiles were aimed at Kryvyi Rih from the airspace of Kherson region.
However, thanks to air defense efforts, two Kalibr missiles and the same number of X-59 missiles were successfully shot down.
