DTEK: one TPP shut down after Russian attack

The Russian Armed Forces attacked one of Ukraine's thermal power plants on the morning of August 24. Energy company DTEK reported that the plant was forced to suspend its operations as a result of the shelling.

"The enemy continues to carry out terrorist attacks against civilian and energy facilities in Ukraine. Today, on August 24, one of DTEK Energy's thermal power plants, which has been subject to repeated attacks earlier, was damaged by shelling," the company said.

According to DTEK, no one was injured in the attack. However, the equipment of the thermal power plant was seriously damaged. A team of power engineers has started to repair the damage and restore the plant's operation.

The company does not report which TPP was damaged.
