In 2024, the United States will hold presidential and parliamentary elections, which will certainly affect support for Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a press conference.


He emphasized that Ukrainian representatives maintain active ties with their American colleagues, including high-ranking officials. Currently, Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, is in dialogue with Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the President of the United States. The talks are focused on key topics, including the "peace formula," arms transfers, and strengthening Ukraine's air defense.


President Zelenskyy admitted that the upcoming US elections play an important role.


"This will certainly have an impact on support for Ukraine. Of course, it can have a positive and negative impact. We will do everything we can to keep the US support does not decrease. For our part, we give all our time, all our energy to constantly cooperate with the United States," the country's leader said. In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a future contact with US President Joe Biden, as well as a planned meeting with representatives of the US Congress, which will take place today, August 23.
