The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to freeze heat tariffs for population in the upcoming heating season. During a Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the decision.
"Today, the Government extends the ASD in the natural gas market until mid-April 2024. "Naftogaz" will continue to sell gas to heat suppliers for the population at a fixed price of UAH 7.4 thousand per thousand cubic meters," the Prime Minister said.
This decision becomes an important component in preparing for the upcoming winter.
The Prime Minister noted: "We are working to provide light and heat in every home of Ukrainians, as well as reliable protection of critical infrastructure from possible threats from Russian missiles and drones."
It should be noted that the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, shared on his Telegram channel that the amendments to the resolution banning the increase in heat tariffs will be in effect until April 15, 2024.
