Ukraine is increasing the scale of ammunition production, similar to the successful case of drones, and the government has increased profitability for domestic enterprises. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting.
Shmyhal noted that over the past two years, Ukraine has significantly increased the production of its own weapons, including various types of drones. One of the key factors in this growth was the involvement of private companies, for which the government set the rate of profitability at the level of 25%. As a result, drone production increased 100 times in a year.
Now this successful experience with drones will be applied to the production of ammunition.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution that sets a profit margin of up to 25% of their cost for Ukrainian ammunition producers.
According to the Prime Minister, this decision will allow manufacturers to expand and modernize their production lines. Shmyhal also expressed hope that new companies will emerge and attract new investments in this area.
“At the same time, we expect to see new companies and new investments. I thank everyone who is fighting and working for a strong Ukraine, for the future of our country, for our victory,” the Prime Minister added.
