According to military analyst Julian Röpke of BILD, Ukraine has activated strategic reserves in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Röpke draws his conclusions based on video footage of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade near Robotyne in the Orikhiv direction. In his analysis, he calls this unit the "best brigade" and an important part of the "strategic reserves" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
This brigade includes 2,000 experienced fighters equipped with British Challenger 2 tanks, German Marder infantry fighting vehicles and American Stryker wheeled armored personnel carriers. The training of the soldiers included a two-month training in the UK.
Analyst Röpke believes that the deployment of the 82nd Brigade into combat is a "plan B" of the Ukrainian command. Based on his information, it was originally planned to deploy this brigade after a breakthrough of the Russian defense to advance quickly in the occupied territory.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine has sent one of the remaining powerful reserve brigades intended for the southern offensive into battle. This event is reported by Forbes.
