Ukraine has received a new package of military aid from Germany, including launchers to strengthen its air defense, the press service of the German government reports. The new aid package includes two launchers of the IRIS-T SLS short-range air defense system.
In addition, Germany also provided the following:
4,539 155-mm smoke munitions (12,460 of these rounds were previously transferred);
10 portable Ground Observer 12 radars for counter-battery warfare (8 units were previously transferred)
4 8x8 HX81 truck tractors and 5 semi-trailers (previously 38 and 33 were delivered respectively);
8 15-tonne loaders (previously 26 were transferred).
The German government emphasized that this year alone, Ukraine has received military aid from Germany totaling 5.4 billion euros.
