The Economist: Ukraine begins to change the balance of power at the front

The situation on the frontline has been gradually tipping in Ukraine's favor over the past couple of weeks, The Economist reports. The Ukrainian armed forces have been successfully using their growing superiority in precision artillery to hit Russian batteries, command centers, and logistics hubs.

"Ukrainian long-range strikes can still pave the way for a serious breakthrough. Soon, Germany may help with about 400 Taurus cruise missiles that will threaten most of Russia-occupied Crimea," the publication notes.

The article says that Russia is counting on the strength of its first line of defense. However, if experts' predictions about the weakness of the second and third lines of defense come true, it could be decisive for the course of the war.
