Joint actions of the countries of the Global South can influence Russia and change its position in the war against Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
In an interview with Arab News, Dmytro Kuleba emphasized that each of these countries does not have such a strong influence on Russia.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister noted that the countries of the Global South have special relations with Russia. He particularly singled out China, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
Kuleba expressed the opinion that a single country does not have enough weight to change Russia's position. However, the unification of all these countries can have a cumulative impact on Russia and change the situation.
The Ukrainian minister noted that Kyiv's main goal is to unite countries that want to change the situation and end the war.
"The countries of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America want to see stable global food markets, prospects for trade with Ukraine and full use of the potential of education for their students in Ukraine. All of this was functioning perfectly well before Russia's attack. Therefore, I do not have the impression that the countries of the world see the situation through the prism of Ukraine's regional interests, which include close integration with the EU and NATO," the minister concluded.
