The deputy head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine noted the localized nature of the Russian offensive in the Kupyansk direction.
In a conversation with the Financial Times, Vadym Skibitskyi emphasized that Russian forces are attacking in the Kupyansk direction, not limited to static defense, which distinguishes them from other parts of the front. However, he emphasized that the enemy has not succeeded in its actions.
Skibitskyi noted that the Kremlin's goal is to achieve the "minimum task", namely the full occupation of the Donetsk region.
"The operations carried out by Russia are not of a strategic military nature, they are only localized attacks," Skibitskyi said.
