In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, the Commander of the Joint Forces Operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Nayev expressed concern about the possible continuation of shelling of Ukraine's critical infrastructure by Russian troops in winter, emphasizing the need to strengthen air defense means.
"We cannot rule out that Russia will continue shelling critical facilities, even in winter. Their goal is to disrupt stability and harm Ukraine and our citizens," Nayev said.
He also emphasized that the national services are already actively working to improve the protection of energy system facilities and strengthen the air defense system.
"We count on the support and assistance of our partners who supply us with air defense equipment. The more of these means we receive, the more we will be able to deter successful attacks by enemy drones and missiles aimed at critical power system facilities," the military said.
