The USA will have enough weapons both to support its army and to provide military aid to Ukraine, which is fighting against Russian aggression.
This was reported by Deputy Spokesperson of the US Ministry of Defense Sabrin Singh at a briefing.
She noted that each aid package for Ukraine is formed collegially.
"We hold meetings where our services can express their opinion about what they have, and then, of course, the secretary and the chairman have conversations with the president, with the White House about what we need to provide to Ukraine," she said.
Singh emphasized that the US will always support the level of its defense and at the same time will have the opportunity to support Ukraine.
"And, you know, one of the things that the president keeps repeating and the secretary of state keeps repeating is that we're with Ukraine for the long term. And so we're going to continue to evaluate what we can provide to them without falling below our own level of readiness." - she added.
Aid to Ukraine from the USA
It should be noted that the USA is Ukraine's biggest ally in the fight against Russia. The state provides us with military, financial and humanitarian assistance. At the same time, some Americans criticize their government because of such strong support in Ukraine due to the alleged depletion of their own reserves.
Only yesterday, the USA allocated another package of military support to Ukraine worth 400 million dollars. It will include, in particular, ammunition for the Patriot and NASAMS air defense systems, shells, Black Hornet mini-drones, etc.
It should be noted that earlier American senators asked US President Joe Biden to adjust military aid to Ukraine according to the needs of the front, as well as to switch to the supply of Western-style fighter jets.
