The UN Security Council will meet today, July 26, to discuss Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports and beyond.
This is reported by The New York Times.
As the publication writes, Russia complained to the UN Security Council about the alleged persecution of the UOC MP because of its ties to Moscow and the Russian Orthodox Church, which supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine, for its part, requested the meeting because of Russia's attacks on Ukrainian port cities, including Odesa, in order to block the export of grain and agricultural products.
Shelling of Odesa and the region
After Russia withdrew from the "grain agreement", the enemy attacks the south of Ukraine almost every night. In particular, the aggressor is actively hitting Odesa and the region.
Also, for example, on the night of July 23, the Russians launched a rocket attack on the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odessa. As a result of the attack, the temple building and roof were partially destroyed.
