Zelenskyі spoke with the Secretary General of NATO: further actions regarding the integration of Ukraine were discussed

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. They discussed further actions regarding Ukraine's integration into the Alliance.

This was reported by the president's Telegram channel.

"We discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the Vilnius Summit of the Alliance, as well as further actions regarding Ukraine's integration into NATO," the president said.

According to him, during the conversation, he and Stoltenberg also shared assessments of the current situation in the Black Sea and the risks it poses to global food security.

In addition, during the negotiations, priority and future steps necessary for the unblocking and sustainable functioning of the Black Sea "grain corridor" were defined.

Russia's withdrawal from the "grain agreement"

It will be recalled that this week the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmytro Peskov, said that his country is withdrawing from the "grain agreement", which allows the export of Ukrainian food via the Black Sea. The official complained that the requirements of the Russian Federation were allegedly not being fulfilled.

In response to such actions, President Volodymyr Zelenskyі offered Turkey and the UN to continue Ukrainian exports without the participation of Russia. Currently, the Cabinet of Ministers is developing a detailed plan for grain transportation.

At the same time, Turkish President Recep Erdogan said yesterday that he plans to hold talks with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. He wants to discuss the continuation of the "grain agreement".

After that, Erdogan talked about the "grain agreement" with the Ukrainian president.

Zelenskyі said that during the conversation with Erdogan, he also thanked him for the fruitful meeting in Istanbul on July 7 and Turkey's principled position regarding Ukraine's membership in NATO.

In addition, the Ukrainian leader asked Erdogan to facilitate the return of Ukrainian prisoners, in particular Crimean Tatars.
