The priority of the fourteenth meeting on the defense of Ukraine in the "Ramstein" format was new supplies of weapons and equipment. The partners also launched new initiatives.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov on Twitter.
He noted that "Ramstein-14" showed unwavering support of Ukraine by its partners. Reznikov summed up the results of the virtual meeting:
the priority is the supply of weapons and equipment urgently needed for the liberation of the territory;
focus - air defense, ammunition and armor;
new initiatives;
development of an IT coalition, creation of a mine clearance coalition.
The Ukrainian minister also thanked the allies for their help, in particular, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin for leading Ramstein. Reznikov also thanked Luxembourg and Estonia for the IT coalition, and Lithuania for the demining coalition.
The fourteenth meeting of "Rammstein"
We will remind, on July 18, the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine held another meeting. This time the meeting was held online.
As a result of the meeting, it became known that Ukraine will receive M113 armored personnel carriers from the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium. The media also reported that the US will announce a $1.3 billion aid package.
