The United States will provide over $500 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Today, July 17, the United States of America announced the provision of over $500 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

USAID administrator Samantha Power says this.

"The United States is providing more than $500 million in additional humanitarian aid to Ukraine," the message reads.

It is noted that Samantha Power announced the allocation of additional humanitarian aid to meet the urgent needs of Ukrainians affected by Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier, we reported that the administrator of the US Agency for International Development, Samantha Power, arrived in Kyiv for a visit. This is her second visit to Ukraine, the second since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

 Aid from the USA

The US has been actively helping Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. Washington provided the largest amount of aid in the military, humanitarian and energy fields. Also, the USA constantly provides financial assistance to Ukraine.

Recently, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that doubling aid to war-torn Ukraine is the best stimulus for the global economy.

Before that, it was reported that US President Joe Biden and NATO leaders unanimously approved a "substantial" new aid package to Ukraine.

Also, Ukrainian diplomats are now actively working for the American Congress to extend the Lend-Lease law for another year.
