Poland and Italy believe that Ukraine should receive real security guarantees. This was stated by the prime ministers of the countries on Wednesday on the eve of the NATO summit, Reuters reports.
"We fully agree with Poland on the need for real security guarantees for Ukraine, in particular because the provision of real security guarantees to Ukraine is also a key condition for achieving a just and durable peace in the future," Meloni said during her visit to Warsaw.
She also confirmed that Italy will continue to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine "as much as it is necessary", and said that "this also applies to the upcoming summit in Vilnius".
In turn, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that the views of the two countries on Ukraine coincide.
