EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell on Monday announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine, calling the amount 3.5 billion euros.
"Today, the EU Foreign Affairs Council approves a new addition to our military support for Ukraine - 3.5 billion. And I think it is more important than ever to continue supporting Ukraine. Because what happened this weekend shows that the war against Ukraine breaks the power of Russia and affects its political system. We are, of course, closely following what is happening, but now is the moment to continue supporting Ukraine more than ever. And that is what we will do," Borrell said before the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg. transmitted by UNN.
The Council of the EU at the level of foreign ministers will meet on June 26 in Luxembourg to, according to the announcement, discuss Russian aggression against Ukraine.
EU ministers will then exchange views on EU-Latin America and Caribbean relations ahead of the EU-CELAC summit scheduled for 17-18 July 2023.
Next, the EU Council will hold a debate on digital diplomacy and is expected to approve conclusions on the issue.
The EU Council can also be informed about Tunisia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as about the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
